Abstract
The paper presents the effect of pulsatory loading upon Forming Limit Diagrams (FLDs). The first part of the paper presents a mathematical model in order to predict theoretical FLDs assuming a pulsatory loading using Marciniak-Kuczynski (M-K) theory. The pulsation loading produces a swift variation of the strain rate which makes necessary the assumption of a viscous-plastic behavior of the material. The mathematical model was resolved using numerical method. The second part present the experimental results for the aluminium sheets. It is noticed a upwards of the FLDs in pulsatory straining a fact that indicated increase of the limit strains.
